About Shopper District
Shopper District is an independent online marketplace, run from England, where makers, designers and small businesses sell to buyers around the world. Every item comes from one of the shops here, not from us.
Selling online as a small shop has become expensive. Listing fees, a share of the postage, advertising you can't switch off and VAT on top of every fee all add up, and they come out of the same small margin. We wanted a place where a maker could list everything they make without paying to do it, and keep more of each sale.
So Shopper District charges sellers only when something sells, takes nothing from postage and adds no VAT to its fee. Our fees page shows exactly what that comes to, and our comparison with Etsy sets the same sale side by side, including where Etsy does better.
Sellers agree to our Terms of Use and our rules on what can be sold. Payments and messages stay on the site, so every order has a record and a way to ask for a refund. Read more in Shopping safely.
